LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce –
Graduating senior who plans to continue their studies in one of the following area: a four-year program at an accredited college or university, a two year or associated degree program at an accredited community business, vocational, technical or allied medical health training institution, a certificate program at an accredited post secondary school. Criteria: good academic achievement, a record of reaching out for positive involvement with his/her local community, a good record of extracurricular involvement at his/her school and good time/task management skills.
Cavalier Bingo Sports Scholarship-
For a senior who is and has been participating in sports. Based on need. Need to write an essay and must have a “B” average.
Paul Stephen Friedler Scholarship-
In memory of Paul Friedler who was a member of the Class of 1995 and who lost his life while serving in Vietnam. For a student with financial need, pursing studies in the fields of philosophy, music and/ or mathematics physics.
Thomas P. Grenier & Bernadette Grenier Scholarship
Criteria: need, high school grades, activities, community service, 4 year college.
Isadore Shapiro Scholarship
For a student athlete who is going on to college.
Lawrence O’Toole Scholarship
Based on need and given to a deserving male/female student
Lewiston Alumni Association
Criteria: Academic standing, need, contribution to school & community. Good citizenship, reasonable family contributions and other factors as determined by selection committee.

Attendance at Longley School, completed grades 1-5-6 at Longley School. If no one qualifies for one, then any combination of grades, but must include grade 6 at Longley. Financial need,
motivation, citizenship, attending a post secondary school.
The Rotary club of L/A “Service Above Self”
Graduating senior boy or girl who has participated in community services. Based on school and community involvement as well as scholastic ability.
