Our School Profile

Welcome to the Lewiston Regional Technical Center's web page. This nationally recognized school offers a rich tradition of academic excellence by providing the best instructional environment within a vocational, technical setting. LRTC is the largest secondary vocational technical center in Maine and offers 27 programs to approximately 800 area students on an annual basis. The school serves six area high schools; Edward Little High School, Lewiston High School, Leavitt Area High School, Lisbon High School, Oak Hill High School and Poland Regional High School.

As part of our accountability, LRTC conducts one, three and five year follow-ups on all our graduates. Our most recent five year follow-ups indicated that over 50% of our graduates have completed two or four year college degree programs. Additionally, our data shows that over 70% of our graduates are working full time in the vocational/technical areas they were trained in.

Working in partnership with our local businesses and industries, LRTC provides an excellent array of opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, cooperative education venues and community based training sites. This active engagement, together with a challenging academic program is critical to the educational success for the 21st century.
