About This Site
The Real World Prep (RWP) classroom strives to prepare students for life after high school. The students work on vocational skills, social skills, academic skills, life skills and leisure skills in an effort to be as independent as they are able to be upon graduation. As part of the RWP's requirements, the students spend part of their school time in the community in order to practice the skills they have been working on in the classroom.
The classroom contains a fully equipped kitchen in order for the students to practice their cooking skills. A washing machine and dryer allows the students to practice household chores. Finally, a practice grocery store is in use, enabling the students to practice their shopping skills when they are not able to access the community.
