4. Principal Comments
Linda: thank you to all our hard working parents
Althea: w/out parents, school is almost an impossible job; looking forward to next
year and new challenges
5. Secretary’s Report
Read over copies of May’s Minutes
Heather M. raised issue over water purchase; Louise agreed to return the 17 cases
to BJs, since they were not used for field day

6. Treasurer’s Report
Read over copies of Treasurer’s Report for May
Motion to approve: Deena; Seconded: Angie; All Approved
7. Variety Show – May 27th
Kids had a great time – loved photos taken by photo club and frames given as favor
$46.68 collected in donations at the door!
8. Hot Dog Sale
Police really did great job and willing to come back, request they bring more cards
Thank you to Adam for dressing up!
United could not come due to rescheduling
147 meals
$173.27 in additional expenses
one parent organized donations from local businesses and we were able to give
away two bikes as a result
used rain night – no refunds needs to be added to flyer
extra chances for give-a-aways was a great idea
9. School Phone Tree
Need to also make same message at school so staff knows
Question of including staff on phone tree messages
10. Pumpkin Festival – October 17th
Chairs Heather Bucklin and Angie St. Hilaire
Next meeting July 13th at 5 – not sure on location yet
Lots of committees – still looking for some chairs
Goal of $10,000!
Sent teachers wish list paper – a few have been returned – looking for items that
will benefit several staff members and/or students
11. Spirit Wear
Some issues with last order and Karen not receiving money/orders
Next year need to return to plan of keeping money in office and letting staff
members know this
One parent reimbursed for money
One parent emailed that order was too late and contained no money
One parent, who wrote check that has not been cashed, agreed to order in fall;
Louise has contact info.
Suggestions for next year: add hats, include sizing on another sheet or on our
website
12. Maine Family Plant
Karen shared that she went to their opening of the new building
PTA sent plant to celebrate their opening
13. Grant for Diane Nadeau and Abby Bossie
Looking to get reimbursed for games purchased at recent conference on RIT
Will use in centers and for all students
Planning on laminating them, so they last for several years
Nadeau’s was for $154 and Bossie’s was for $110
Motion to accept by Karen; Seconded by Jamie; All in Favor
14. Grant for Leigh Lardari - $156.65
1 year subscription to web based programs – shared with several grade levels, and
has personally purchased for several years out of her own pocket

15. Tax Form
Due in November
Heather will pass on info. she has received, must be done every 3 years

17. Budget
As a group developed a preliminary budget for next school year
18. BJs Card
Linda is looking into getting a card that school and pta can use
Suggestion that Dolly and Nicole be the two users
19. Auditing Books
Contacted Maine Family to see if they can do this, and they can not
Suggestion to contact LeAnne and see if she can do it
Needs to be done before books are turned over to new board
