August 28, 2007 Dear Parents,         The Scholastic Book Clubs will be made available to students this year each month.  To assure the ordering process is a smooth one, I would appreciate it if you would consider the following guidelines when sending your order in to me.         *Student's name MUST be on the order form.         *Payment may be either in cash or in the form of a check made out to Scholastic Book Clubs.  You will only have to write one check even if you are ordering from multiple forms.         *Order form and payment must be in a sealed envelope with the student's name, homeroom teacher, and the amount of payment enclosed.         *There are specific items on the bottom of the order form that need your special attention.  Usually there are two or three items that involve receiving a starter set and then further shipments will be sent to your home.  These items require the parent to fill out all information in the form at the bottom at the order.  The company representative will not allow me to place the order without written partental permission and information.         I usually send a variety of brochures home.  Please take the time to preview them with your child.  There are a lot of great values and great selections each month.  If you ever want to give an order as a gift (birthday, Christmas, just because, etc. ) just let me know, and I will contact you when the order is in.         Thanks for your cooperation.  Enjoy a year of reading with Scholastic Book Clubs!                                                 From a life-long reader,                                                 Mrs. Jones
