Pre-K Registration and LotteryMay 26, 2009Lewiston's Pre-K program has been expanded to include classrooms at Farwell, Geiger, Longley, and Montello elementary schools, each of which is split into two half-day sessions of 14 children. Due to the limited number of slots, Lewiston Public Schools is unable to accommodate all of the children whose parents have expressed interest in the program.In order to determine which students will be admitted to the program, a Pre-K lottery will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at the Dingley Building. Swine Flu UpdateMay 7, 2009The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has adjusted its recommended course of action for K-12 schools responding to an H1N1 virus infection. Voters Approve 2009-10 BudgetMay 6, 2009Lewiston voters have approved $49.6 million in education spending following yesterday's 2009-10 budget validation referendum. Voters approved the budget by a 351-73 margin. |
