Academically talented, highly motivated African American students who are currently seniors in high school and plan to pursue undergraduate degrees full time.  Students must be US Citizens or permanent US residents.  If applying November 1, will be considered for the RB Scholar Program and to a select and limited number of additional scholarship providers.

Roothbert Fund Scholarship Grants range from 2,000-3,000. applications accepted from Nov 1-January 31.  Given to students who are motivated by spiritual values, not necessarily characterized by a particular form of religious practice or worship. Preference given to those who satisfy high scholarstic requirements and are considering careers in education. If requested to be interviewed, MUST attend interview to be eligible.   • Maine Family Credit Union
Three scholarships: The Founders Scholarship for 1,000, the Maurice Fontaine Sr. Scholarship for 1,000 and the Roger Bissonette Scholarship for 1,000.00 Applicant must be a member of the Maine Family Federal Credit Union, a graduating senior, accepted as an incoming freshmen to a two year community college, four year college or university and must begin within one year of the award.  Requirements are: completed application and essay must be received no later than April 1, 2009.   • Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund
In memory of Mrs. Janice M. Scott who was a victim of the attacks by terrorists on 9/11/2001. She was among the 125 individuals who was killed in the Pentagon when terrorists took over and crashed American Airlines Flight 77 into that building on the morning of 9/11/2001. Qualifications: US Citizen or permanent resident, GPA 2.5 or higher, go to a US accredited 4 year college or university fulltime during school year 2009-2010 and have demonstrated leadership abilities through participating in community service, extracurricular or other activities.
