8th Graders:

Friday, May 18th is the 8th grade dance.  Start time: 6:30pm End time: 9pm.  

Theme: SWEET MEMORIES

This is for 8th grade students who attend Lewiston Middle School only. There is no phone available, please make sure parents pick up students outside the gym doors at the corner of Central Ave, by Bates College. Once a student leaves the dance, re-entry is not allowed.

Reminder: All students will be taking the NWEA tests over the next couple weeks. Please make sure your student gets proper sleep and a healthy breakfast. All students should a an independent reading book with them.

Kick Start - all 8th grade students have been given information and a permission slip to participate in the annual Kick Start events happening at the end of May and beginning of June. Please return the signed permission slips and lunch money  to his/her homeroom teacher by Friday, May 18th.

Results for Sumdog's Maine Statewide Contest

The overall winner, with the highest average number of correct answers per competing student, was Falmouth Elementary School.  They win a Yenka Mathematics Site Licence, worth $750, and an engraved trophy.

The daily winners from the contest are:

Newspapers

The LMS Art Teachers need donations of recycled newspapers for paper mache projects and other classroom use.  Students can bring in newspapers to room 318 or 317 in AM homeroom. Thank you for your support! 

                                                                                                            Milk Jugs Needed

Ms. Cargile is  seeking clean, empty gallon milk jugs without caps for an upcoming project.  Please bring them to Room 318.

Yearbook

The 2012 Impressions may be ordered starting Monday October 31^st.  The cost is $25.  Please make checks payable to LMS.

Reminders:

Athletes may NOT take their laptop home on home or away game days.

Backpacks are not allowed to be worn during the school day. String bags may be used. Students should go by the Guidance Office if in need of a string bag.

Also, students may bring water in a bottle with a cap or a lid.  Soda and coffee, etc are not allowed during the school day.

No bandanas allowed in school.
