Middle School Take Home Practices
2011-2012
1. MacBooks ALWAYS come and go home zipped inside the case, carried by the handle.
2. MacBooks should be zipped in the case while students ride the bus to and from school.
3. MacBooks are only to be used by the students to whom they are assigned. Brothers and sisters need to respect MacBooks and leave them alone.
4. Parents may use the MacBook. Parent login passwords are available through Room 224
5. Students should use their MLTI MacBooks for school assignments and projects.
6. MacBooks will be signed out on a day by day basis. Students will sign out the laptop, charger and case.
7. MacBooks are expected to be returned on the next school day.
8. Music should be legally downloaded to iTunes.
9. Photos may be downloaded into iPhoto. Photos need to be appropriate.
10. Students should use their MLTI MacBook in a family space with adult supervision.
11. MacBooks should be charged each evening, ready for a full day's use in the morning.
12. MacBooks cannot be kept in locker rooms, playing fields, auditorium.
13. Students participating in after school activities must bring their laptop to the office and arrange to have it picked up before 3:15
14. MacBooks should be cleaned at school. Each team has cleaning supplies available for cleaning.
15. Food, drinks, and pets should be kept away from MacBooks.
16. Any problems with the way a MacBook is operating should be brought to the attention of the library staff as soon as possible.
17. Student (Parent) should be prepared to pay for any/all damage done to a computer, whether it happened at home or school.
