How do I backup the data on my laptop?

Backing up data is the project we seem to do the least often, but it is probably one of the most important that we need to do.

One simple way to keep important data, is to use a portable drive. Flash Drives or Pen Drives are the most economical and easiest ways to do it these days.

To save data on an external drive:

Place all of your documents into one to two folders
Plug the drive into the computer (probably a USB port).
Drag the folders onto the drive.

NOTE: To remove the drive it must be ejected properly. Either drag it towards the trash can (which will turn into an eject button), or click the eject symbol beside the drive if there is an open smart window. When the icon disappears from the desktop, it is safe to remove the device.6910_91209_2.png

A secure storage area is through First Class. When you log into your First Class Account you should see a File Storage Icon. Simply drag any files you wished saved in to this folder. It can be accessed from any device that can communicate with our First Class Server.6910_91721_7.png
