The Automotive Technology Program is designed to meet the needs of students with the desire to pursue a career in the automotive service industry.

Provides students the opportunity to . . .

• follow the curriculum requirements recommended by the National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATEF)

• receive specific training in strategy based diagnostics, test equipment, repairs, and customer relations.

• receive the necessary two-year training and experience that would qualify them for entry-level employment in the automotive service industry.

Students enrolling in Automotive Technology 1 & 2 Program should . . .

• have a 10th grade reading level (reading lexile between 905-1195)

• have completed Algebra I

• have completed a science, physics or
chemistry class

• be able to write clearly

Partnership Programs

College credit for successful completion of the Automotive Technology program: up to 6 college credits from Central Maine Community College

Note: It is strongly recommended however, that students continue their education at a quality post-secondary training facility or college.

Students are required to purchase . . .

Recommended:
• Work boots – steel toed
• Work cloths

Graduation Credits . . .

High school credits awarded for successful completion of junior and senior year program.

Junior year – 3 blocks / alternating days
- 36 weeks – 3 credits
Senior year – 3 blocks / alternating days
- 36 weeks – 3 credits
