Heating Service Technician Program

Students in the Heating Service Technician Program will be provided with the basic theory and program training required for the development of an oil heat service technician involved in installation and service.

• learn to "trouble shoot" system failures
• learn proper procedures needed for annual tune ups.
• develop fabrication skills on light fittings used in ventilation, heating, air conditioning systems
• gain the knowledge to enter a field that services more than 8.5 million people in New England that depend on oil heat.

Students enrolling in the Sheet Metal / Welding Program should . . .

• have good eye/hand coordination
• be able to work in confined spaces performing multiple tasks in changing working conditions
• be physically fit and mentally fit
• have one year of geometry
• have one year of algebra
• have a reading Lexile measure of 1410 or better
