The Law Enforcement Program (LEP) is the program for you if you want to gain entry-level competencies in the criminal justice field, explore future careers including security work all the way to becoming a judge. (Nationally recognized by the United States Department of Justice on April 10, 1996!)

Students enrolling in LEP Program should . . .


• have good grades
• be able to do physical training
• be able to learn marching drill & ceremony
• want to develop leadership skills
• be honest, loyal, and service-oriented
• demonstrate good attendance - no detentions
• be self-disciplined
• display common sense
• maintain good decision making skills
• have basic computer and data entry skills
• be even-tempered, not prone to violent or
aggressive behavior
• demonstrate good personal hygiene
• have the ability to work with supervision in a team setting
• show proficiency in law enforcement safety standards
• have a reading lexile of at least 1420 to enter the first year program and a reading lexile of 1740 at the conclusion of the second year
• have basic Algebra, Geometry, and Science skills
• plan on attending college full time or going into the U.S. Armed Services at the conclusion of this program
