Sheet Metal/Welding Program

Students in the Sheet Metal/Welding Program will learn layout skills along with fabrication skills and four types of welding skills for pre-entry into the trades.

Students enrolling in the Sheet Metal / Welding Program should . . .

• have good eye/hand coordination
• be able to work in confined spaces performing multiple tasks in changing working conditions
• be physically fit along with mentally fit
• have one year of geometry
• have one year of algebra
• have a reading Lexile measure of 1220 or better

Partnership Programs

Credit on entering a welding program at SMCC or NMCC.

Graduation Credits . . .

High school credits awarded for successful completion of the program.

One year program for Juniors and Seniors

– 3 blocks / alternating days

- 36 weeks – 3 credits
