District School Health Coordinator
The School Health Coordinator (SHC) implements a coordinated school health program that includes comprehensive school education and incorporates CDCP/Division of Adolescent and School Health (CDC/DASH), guidelines for prevention of tobacco use, and the promotion of physical activity and healthy eating. The SHC provides leadership for the coordination of school health programs and is a member of the administrative team.
The SHC facilitates the physical education and health curriculum, instruction and assessment. This includes: an evaluation of the health and physical education curriculum to determine if the curriculum aligns with the Maine State Learning Results.
